EFCC stormed a building on the 7th floor Osborne at ikoyi after receiving an alert from a whistle blower.
The apartment which is a four bed room flat was discovered to be empty except for the security guard keeping the house safe.
The Economic and Financial Crime Commission officials discovered that the apartment was locked but gain entrance by applying force in accordance to the magisterial order contained in the warrant.
They discovered $43.4m, £27,800, and N23. 3m in two rooms out of the four rooms in the building.
Preliminary findings indicated that the monies are suspected to be from proceeds of unlawful dealings. However, investigation is ongoing.
